Do you enjoy running or think you might? We are known as the “friendly club” encouraging and supporting training runs for those who like running.

Lots of our members also enjoy competitive running and if you’re interested in competition then we take part in many events. You can race in a team alongside other Waddies in events such as the Sussex Grand Prix and the East Sussex Sunday Cross Country League. Many of our members also compete in club colours in numerous running events around the area.

You’ll also experience the support and camaraderie from other Waddies taking part in a wide variety of races nationally and internationally across distances ranging from 5k to marathons.

MEMBERSHIP

Have a couple of sessions on us! Once you've given it a try you can then apply for membership which will enable you to compete as a Wadhurst Runner.

Membership rates for the year 1 April 2025 - 31 March 2026 are:

Affiliated single member - £38 (this includes payment to England Athletics - for more information on the advantages of being an affiliated member, click here)
Non-affiliated single member - £18

Join The Club

When you become an affiliated member, you will automatically be registered with England Athletics and receive a UKA registration number. Your annual membership will entitle you to a discount of £2 per race on the entry fee as well as discounts on a range of goods and experiences via the England Athletics website. You'll also receive a free Wadhurst Runners running vest or shirt.

If competing is not for you then simply become a non-affiliated member. That way you can still enjoy the local club runs and social events.

Membership benefits also include a free hi viz training bib as well as discounts or special terms from local suppliers to members.

Membership runs from 1st April to 31st March. Any member joining between 1st January and 31st March can benefit from extended membership to 31st March of the following year.
